A piece about artistic freedom, power and what words that can be used in a so called vulnerable area.
A conflict arose between the artist and the curator after the artist suggested the title Untitled(ACAB) for a temporary public art piece to be shown in a public library. In a series of conversations the artist and curator discussed artistic freedom, the appropriateness of such a title, and whether or not it could be used in a so-called vulnerable area. In the end, an untitled abstract video work was displayed in the library window, which was soon vandalized by a local artist named Stefan with the words “Say something nice CUNT!”. Stefan also left a painted panel below the video, leaning against the library window, with the text “greetings Stefan artist” written on it. This video is a reenactment of the conversations and the situation as a whole.
