In this project I sought to highlight how we are under constant surveillance and how everything we do is registered. I randomly chose a person in my class and tried to find out as much information about him as I could. I managed to get his high school grades, information about his tax and income, information on his parents and their income, photographs etc.

I presented all the information that I had gathered at a critique where he was present. His reaction really pinpointed the double nature of the issue of surveillance. At first he was very upset and angry, he even threatened me with what his fathers reprisals. After a while the discussion led to how there are cameras everywhere and how everything we do is under supervision. Surprisingly enough, he was very positive to different types of surveillance, he said:

"You have to sacrifice some of your freedom for you safety."
At the end he stole all the material I had gathered and all that was left was a brown paper envelope.
